NIGHTMARE visitors are trapped in the eerie world between life and death. Each of the 23 rooms features a different ghost—apparitions, phantasms, possessions and more—all waiting to inflict their unique brand of fear on the unwary. 
The exhibition consists of selections from two distinct series produced by Francisco Alvarado-Jurez over the past two years. The ephemeral nature of the artwork that inspired this series has been repeatedly photographed from different angles during different times of the day and seasons of the year. 
As a poet, journalist and activist, Clemente Soto Vélez mentored many generations of Latino artists in New York City. Upon his death in 1993, he left a rich legacy that contributed to the cultural, social and economic life of Puerto Ricans in New York City and Latinos everywhere.
